Home FOREWORD by Peter Woolass

I Have received the email reproduced below from Barry van Geffen

I am not sure who I am addressing, whether it is Mathew or Mark.... It has
been so long since anyone at LG has been in touch with the VOA. I trust that
all is still well and that the Association is thriving.

I have couple of points that I would like to address:

The Laurent Giles Archive (which owns the rights to all of the historical
plans including Vertue Class yachts) is now owned solely by me, is operating
out of Auckland and is also flourishing. I am pleased to report that in the
last few months two new Vertues projects have commenced; V234 in Europe and
V235 in the United States. If you wish I can send you some details of these
as they progress.

I can also, as far as I am able to, provide information that might help to
fill in the spaces in your The Ships pages

But I have a request please... would you kindly change the link on your
links page. My colleagues in the UK have no real interest in Vertues or any
of the historical craft and it seems right to display the address of the
Archive. I am in touch with many Vertue owners of course and am happy to
help with technical questions that you chaps would prefer to pass on.

Many thanks for your time. If you are in agreement and are able to change
the link I will forward the http code (not the web address, as I am told by
the boffins that the code is far less likely to attract spam)

Kind regards

Barry
