Lan Tao is for sale.

The boat is currently lying in Lefkas (Greece).

 

Lan Tao” Vertue no 129 was built in 1964 by Cheoy Lee in Hong Kong.

 

Its dimensions are Length O.A. 25ft. 6” Beam 7ft. 6” Draft 4ft. 6”, it displaces 4,5 tons and has a wooden mast with upper and lower spreaders.

 

It is long keeled with fixed lead ballast. The standard rigging is Stainless steel and wire rope. Running back stays with Highfield Levers.

 

In the last two years I have invested a lot of money and effort in restoring the boat.

It now has a new 22 HP Yanmar engine (3 hours), while the hull and deck have been repaired and recaulked.

It has new electronics (VHF, automatic pilot, EPIRB) and a nice varnish (the photos are older). Lan Tao is one of the very few Vertues still varnished!

Delivery is also possible in Spain, where I intend to sail the boat next May.
